Military Care Package Outreach Nothing makes a soldier smile like a package from home.
We have several members in our church and our community that are serving in our war overseas. We would like our church to start sending care packages to these men and women. Our goal is to send a minimum of 25 boxes filled with items to pass out among each soldier's platoon. We also want this ministry to be ongoing - sending care packages periodically. If you can help by donating, please let our church office know.
Some suggestions for care packages include:
chewing gum, dental travel kit, disposable razors, Kleenex, chap stick, foot powder, bobby pins, shampoo, body powder, Q-Tips, gloves, sunglasses, cough drops, antacids, soap, sun block, hand sanitizer, vitamins, chips, hard candy, crackers, Beef Jerky, Slim Jims, dried fruits, nuts, magazines, plastic utensils, books, writing materials, batteries, games, Neosporin, journals, word puzzles, detergent, anti-bacterial wipes, Bactine wipes, Band-aids, nail trimmers, tweezers, snack foods like Chex mix, granola bars, sunflower seeds, tuna/chicken lunch kits, canned pasta, soups, individual coffee, cocoa, cider, tea bags, sugar packets, and individual water-bottle sized drink mixes (ex. on the go packets, Crystal Light, Caprisun Sport).
Be creative - not only do they need these items but they also would love surprises (Rubik cube, playing cards, hometown newspapers, etc)
